Bettman says fans spoke, Scott ‘welcome’ at All-Star Game

Fans sent enforcer John Scott to the NHL All-Star Game by voting him captain of the Pacific Division.

“He didn’t do anything wrong”, Jagr said. Rask hasn’t been voted into the All-Star game even once.

Scott has played for Minnesota, Chicago, the New York Rangers, Buffalo, San Jose and Arizona. Jagr merited another showing because he doesn’t appear to be slowing down. Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos (21 goals) is the Atlantic’s top goal scorer while Ottawa defenseman Erik Karlsson is fourth in the league with 52 points.

“I stuck around”, Scott wrote. “The guys who are there now can play a little bit”. “You’re used to playing one or two shifts if it gets to three-on-three”.

“It’s great”, he said. “I think he’s excited to show he can play”.

She said this has been overwhelming. “There are so many children in this city that are hurting”. A formerly vacant building has been renovated to create 30,000 square feet of space for educational programs, a nursery, a pantry stocked with food to be donated and more.

The 2017-18 season is still a possible target for new franchises to join the league, Bettman said. Sutter, Quick and Doughty are participants in Sunday’s game at Bridgestone Arena.
