Gasoline prices in North Dakota still below national average

In Palm Beach County, prices for a gallon of regular averaged $ 1.97 on Monday, about 4 cents less than last week and 29 cents less than a year ago. Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington and NY are the only remaining states in which the average cost is higher than $2. That represents the lowest average gas price since January of 2009.
The average price of gas in the Fort Wayne area went up 5 cents last week, to an average of $1.64 a gallon, GasBuddy.com said today.

The price for crude oil is the primary factor affecting what consumers pay at the pump for gasoline, and benchmark crude prices have rebounded to more than $30 per barrel.
“I see a good mix of people under $1.89”, said Jeff Pelton, a senior petroleum analyst for GasBuddy, about the gas stations in the Lehigh Valley. The supply of crude oil is outpacing its demand.
February 1- Average retail gasoline prices in Alabama have fallen 2.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.57/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 3,348 gas outlets in Alabama.
