Day deal off: Newcastle fail in hunt of Liverpool defender Jose Enrique
Jurgen Klopp has admitted Liverpool are unlikely to sign Alex Teixeira.

The fullback is on package believed to be around £65,000 per week and would’ve seen that figure greatly diminish if he accepted the switch.
According to widespread reports this afternoon, the Magpies are looking to finalise a free-transfer deal before the close of the winter transfer window.
When he signed for Liverpool in the summer of 2011, the full back went on the warpath against his former employers.
Liverpool certainly won’t stand in his way, with Alberto Moreno, Brad Smith and likely Jon Flanagan ahead of him in the pecking order at left-back.
