Fans Start Petition to Have Danny DeVito Voice Detective Pikachu

Detective Pikachu: Birth Of A New Duo will launch in Japan on February 3rd, exclusively for on the Nintendo eShop Nintendo 3DS. Its unknown if an English version of the game is in the works. It’s true that the electric rodent has said full sentences in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, but this is something different. This Pikachu takes his job extremely seriously and he has a deeper voice than we are used to.

Hopefully, the petition stating that Great Detective Pikachu should be voiced by Danny DeVito will pass and once the game reaches NA, we will be able to enjoy a rather interesting detective story alongside one of the most loved actors of our time.

In the time since I began writing the article, the online petition on Change.org has raised by over 2,500 signatures, and it seems poised to keep climbing steadily at this rate.

It hasn’t even been confirmed that the game is making its way to North America but fans are already making plans. Meanwhile other fans have uploaded screenshots of Great Detective Pikachu with Frank Reynolds quotes attacked to them.

“There are a number of us that feel as though Danny DeVito would be a prime fit for the voice acting role of the Detective Pikachu”, petition creator Sairith Aramor writes.
