Cashing In On The Pilot’s Success — Honda Ridgeline
These sheep join a proud tradition of animals being anthropomorphized in advertisements. The ad will be shown in the third quarter and Honda says the company studied the movement of sheep’s mouths to determine how their facial muscles might react while singing.
The ad, which made its debut Monday, is aimed at showing one of the unique features of the Ridgeline – stereo speakers that line the truck’s bed for improptu tailgate parties or snuggling under a blanket while looking up at the stars. That’s because Buckley has directed over 40 Super Bowl spots. As part of the digital campaign, Honda will take over the ESPN and MSN home pages on Sun., Feb. 7, and Mon., Feb. 8. And, with the largest television audience in sports watching, 2017 Honda Ridgeline goes big for Super Bowl 50. The winners will be flown to San Antonio, Texas where they and a guest will drive the new Ridgeline and enjoy a two-night stay in a local hotel.
“New Truck To Love” puts a memorable spin on 2017 Honda Ridgeline.
Both the 2017 Honda Ridgeline and the Ford Ranger are superb trucks and perhaps the Ridgeline is going to be the one that has the upper hand. Honda will build the Ridgeline at its Lincoln, Alabama, auto and engine plant, alongside its Pilot and Odyssey models. Honda is aiming the Ridgeline at men in their 40s and 50s with an active lifestyle who use the truck on a daily basis. The pickup truck was developed by Honda’s North American design and engineering teams in OH and California.
