Swastika painted on Trump’s Hollywood star
Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been defaced with a spray-painted swastika. The image of Trump’s star featuring the spray painted swastika began circulating on the Internet on Friday-though, it has since been removed.
The star belongs to Donald Trump, and street entertainer Austin Franklin, who patrols the area dressed as Batman, says he’s astounded by the things that happen on the tiny piece of sidewalk. In September, someone drew an X over it. In 2014 someone wrote “rapist” on Bill Cosby’s star.
The star is the recurrent target of ire, one Hollywood Boulevard Batman told Inside Edition.
Trump received the star, which is located at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard, in 2007 for his work on The Apprentice.
Most people has reportedly liken him to the Nazi party’s leader Adolf Hitler, whose own ideals of racial purity led to the massacre of an estimated 11 million people during World War II.
Apparently people have been known to deface Hollywood stars, but this is the first time Trump’s been vandalized. The symbol originally represented the Hindu and Buddhist faiths in the 1930s and ’40s.
