Assassin’s Creed: Identity Releasing on iOS on February 25
While rumors run amok that they won’t be releasing a major title in the brand this fall for PC, Xbox One and PS4, the company has made it clear that new Assassin’s Creed games are still coming out this year even if they aren’t major releases.
Set during the Italian Renaissance, Assassin’s Creed Identity challenges players to solve The Mystery of The Crows through a series of story missions and “countless” quests that’ll see you visit iconic settings such as Santa Croce area in Firenze or the Colosseum rea in Roma. The game will also use the Unity engine to bring HD textures, shaders, and models to mobile devices. You can control the game using touch, dual virtual sticks, or with an external gamepad.
The Berserker is for those who favour a direct approach to combat, Shadow Blade is geared toward stealth, Trickster is an all-rounder, and Thief is for those who prefer the agile tea leaf route. No additional details on the progression system have been revealed yet, but Ubisoft promises a Q&A with the game’s creative director will be released on February 3. The oldest models of phone and tablet that the game is compatible with are the iPad 3 and iPhone 5. Keep posted for more news on the latest expansion by Ubisoft. A little too early for many to believe, the rumors are still unjustified by Ubisoft and should only be taken as a grain of salt for now.
Having opened their doors in 1988, Blue Byte’s first hit came in 1991 with Battle Isle, followed by the ever-popular development strategy game The Settlers® – which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2013.
