Mehbooba to take final call on J&K govt formation

Replying to a question on uncertainty over government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, Koul said, “From our side there is positivity and we feel the same from other side”.
Party spokesman Naeem Akhtar said, “The meet’s objective was to discuss party affairs and how we can take forward Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s mission of peace and development”.

Jammu: Ahead of the meeting with the Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra to clear its stand on government formation, BJP’s core group will hold an important meeting in Jammu winter capital city on Tuesday.
The governor wants the two parties to clarify their stand on government formation and status of their alliance which was formed under former chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.

Rana expressed surprise over the “realization dawning” on PDP after almost a year of alliance with BJP. Earlier reports had said the meeting had been called to formally elect Ms Mufti as legislature party leader. The BJP is expected to put forth its views before the Governor when its representatives meet him later today over the formation of government in the state.
Top BJP sources in Delhi told IANS that it was highly unlikely that either Prime Minister Narendra Modi or BJP president Amit Shah will make any announcement in response to Mehbooba Mufti’s statement. “Ms. Mufti informed Sunday’s assembly that Mr. Sayeed died a guy that was sad as “non-fulfilment” of the guarantees created to the folks in previous five weeks taxed him heavily”.
