Taco Bell introduces online preordering for one mysterious item
Taco Bell has revealed additional details for what could be its “biggest launch to date” during the upcoming Super Bowl 50.
“We’ve taken delicious [redacted] and placed it [redacted] to create the next craveable food innovation you can only get at Taco Bell”, said Chris Brandt, chief concept and brand officer for Taco Bell Corp.
So, before you place your order you have to ask yourself one question, “Do you feel lucky?”
Back in January, Taco Bell announced in a press release with the keywords redacted that it’s releasing a new mystery product to coincide with Super Bowl 50. “Trust us, though; it’s worth it”. There’s a catch, though – you can only items offered for pre-order and they aren’t telling you what it is. That’s right, without knowing what’s in store for you, you can order up to five of these things for $2.99 each, and then pick them up between 2 and 4 p.m on Saturday at Taco Bells nationwide.
In a very cryptic press release, it was revealed that for the rest of the world, Taco Bell’s new product will be unveiled with a 30-second Super Bowl commercial.
Taco Bell is staying in character, though. Taco Bell serves made to order and customizable tacos, burritos, and specialties such as the exclusive Doritos Locos Tacos, gourmet-inspired Cantina Power® Menu and lower calorie Fresco Menu. The company encourages customers to “Live Más”, both through its food and in ways such as its Feed The Beat® music program and its nonprofit organization, the Taco Bell® Foundation™.
