Bentley Flying Spur gets new range of Mulliner features
The options add a major dose of personalization to the Flying Spur. For the first time ever, the Flying Spur is being offered with a refrigerated bottle cooler that tucks neatly in between the rear seats.
If you fancy painted veneers inside your Flying Spur, the Crewe-based British manufacturer’s in-house coach-building division is much obliged to offer such veneers… for the right price, of course.
The Flying Spur – without any customization enhancements – starts at around $195,000. Naturally, it comes with the accessories required for the enjoyment of champagne, including two flutes created to fit into the center-console armrest, and a bottle stopper for keeping the unsipped champers fresh “n” bubbly. Offering them meant that the car’s rear doors had to be redesigned so that they could hold not just the atomisers but their specially created cases too.
“Mulliner offers customer the opportunity to personalize their auto over and above the 1 million plus combinations already available to them”, said Geoff Dowding, director of Mulliner, in a statement. Luckily, Mulliner now will install a bottle cooler with a frosted-glass door.
Bentley’s opulent Flying Spur saloon not quite opulent (or expensive) enough for you? Bentley claims each cooler unit takes 15 hours to manufacture by hand.
Interior veneer options will now include painted and finely polished panels which brings in the exterior paint color to the interior cabin. There’s a choice of interior hides; in case you’re stuck for choice, Mulliner ‘suggests the compartment is trimmed with an unexpected burst of colour – for example, Mandarin “Hidden Delights” hide’. These sterling silver items can be used to spray a fine mist of water or perfume, delivering fragrance or refreshment for rear seat occupants.
This center console can be personalized with Mulliner’s signature quilting if the client so desires.
