Browns tired of quarterback Johnny Manziel’s antics

“The preliminary investigation determined that a possible assault had occurred in that jurisdiction or multiple jurisdictions”, the police said in a statement. Manziel has been investigated twice by the league for domestic incidents in the last two months, the first coming after a dispute in the roadway.

“She asked me what we discuss on Twitter, and I told her Johnny Manziel”, he said. “We will have no further comment at this time”.

In 2014, Manziel started two games for the Browns and played in three total before the hamstring injury in the second quarter of a loss at Carolina ended his season prematurely.

The officers didn’t find the caller, but they spoke to an unidentified 23-year-old woman who said she was involved in a disturbance with her ex-boyfriend earlier that night in Dallas. But police in Forth Worth and Dallas are still “actively working” to determine if Manziel assaulted his ex-girlfriend. “Obviously, it’s a process that we’re going through, and we’ll continue to go through it”.

Manziel not only admitted to police that he had a couple drinks prior to the roadside stop, but then, in the days following a Thursday Night Football loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, through posts on social media, he was seen partying with co-eds at his alma mater, Texas A&M, following a ceremony for their newly renovated Kyle Field.

Browns’ statement makes that eventuality clearer.

“I appreciate the NFL’s diligence and discretion in reviewing a situation that was both personal and embarrassing, ” Manziel said.

“I’m grateful that the review was so thorough and fair that there should be no question left in the public mind about what actually happened”.

It’s not clear if Crowley is the ex-girlfriend involved in the latest matter.

Manziel and Crowley remained together for a period of time after that based on their tweets and Instagram posts. An email sent Saturday to Manziel’s agent, Erik Burkhardt, was not immediately returned.
