Glastonbury 2016: Jeff Lynne’s ELO will play the Sunday ‘legends’ slot
Lionel Richie performed in this slot in 2015, and Dolly Parton the year before, both attracting massive crowds.

The vast majority of this year’s Glastonbury Festival line-up is still to be announced. “And those rumours have been Muse, Foo Fighters and Coldplay headlining on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday”.

ELO founding members Roy Wood and Bev Bevan have since left the band’s line-up, Bevan choosing to retire from ELO and sell his share of the name to Jeff Lynne in 2000.
But an on-air campaign by BBC Radio 2’s Chris Evans pressured the band into reuniting in 2013 for a one-off show in Hyde Park.
The news was confirmed by organiser Emily Eavis, who tweeted: “Yes!”
If you were lucky enough to get tickets to the festival this year, expect them to bring out all the hits including Mr Blue Sky, Don’t Bring Me Down and Sweet Talkin’ Woman.
