Plane makes impressive landing in stormy weather
Talk about a bumpy landing.
The pilots of the KLM flight from Osaka have been praised on social media for their skills to safely land the aircraft in such stormy conditions.
Alarming footage has emerged of a passenger jet rolling from side to side moments before it landed.
Just moments before the KLM Asia plane touches down it does a final risky roll to the right, it’s wing tip a worryingly short distance from the ground.
The video uploaded to YouTube by plane spotter Michael Splinter has been viewed nearly 2 million times since it was published on Saturday.
AMSTERDAM One person was killed as the most severe July storm ever recorded in the Netherlands swept across the country on Saturday, delaying flights and disrupting road and rail traffic.
Several other people were hurt as gales up to 121km/h hit the country.
Dozens of flights were delayed at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, during a storm said to be the most violent since records began in 1901.
