Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach takes Super Bowl 50 by storm
There was a mob scene as INSIDE EDITION’s special Super Bowl correspondent Miss Universe arrived in San Francisco. Only this time it’s the Super Bowl 50 media night. And she quickly learned the “dab” dance, first popularized by Carolina Panthers star QB Cam Newton, but ironically she got her first lesson from Broncos defensive end Kenny Anunike. Perhaps, that is why there was no chance of any goof up. “She has the on-air poise that we look for in our talent, and as reigning Miss Universe, she’s no stranger to a thrilling competition”, said Executive Producer Charles Lachman. Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez in fact, went on to wear the crown. But the Filipina beauty queen dug right into the festivities and joined in on the fun of the chaotic scrum of players and reporters in San Francisco. But she found herself being interviewed as much as she was interviewing others.

“They contacted me. I guess they liked the way I spoke, and asked me if I would like to do it”, Wurtzbach said.
