Strictly Come Dancing’s Kristina Rihanoff defends Ben Cohen relationship
Ben Cohen’s estranged wife is reportedly planning on sending a strongly worded letter to the BBC – asking them to drop Kristina Rihanoff from hit TV show Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking to The Mirror, Kristina reiterated that she has done nothing wrong.
The 37-year-old dancer has defended her relationship with the ex-England rugby player after he split from his wife of 13 years, Abby. Recently we started dating but we’re allowed to see each other as two single people. I’m a hardworking, self-made person.
The Strictly dancer, who has courted controversy over the years for a series of alleged relationships with her co-stars, also slammed a friend close to Abby Cohen, Ben’s wife.
Since going public with her ex-husband, Abby has called for the Russian star to be axed from the BBC show.
“Pasha [Kovalev] and Rachel [Riley] got together after the show but everyone believed them when they said they were just friends”, she said.
She talked about how Flavia Cacace and Janette Manrara have both had a number of relationships as a result of the show.
The bottom line is that what has happened, or is happening, between Ben, Kristina and Abby is no-one else’s business but theirs, and at the end of the day, Ben is the one who was married; not Kristina. “She in consideration her a mate, pal while Ben was on Strictly, so seeing them together now is without question heartbreaking”.
But by 2013, everything started to go wrong for the star, conveniently around the same time Cohen starred on Strictly.
