United States president hopefuls begin New Hampshire campaigns after Iowa shocks
New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary is scheduled for one week away.
JUDY WOODRUFF: Susan, how do you see the challenges that Bernie Sanders now confronts?
“For Clinton, it was clearly a case of surviving and advancing”, said Dante Scala, associate professor of political science at the University of New Hampshire, which hosts the next Democratic debate on Thursday.
But I totally agree with Reid.
Among Democrats, Bernie Sanders rode a wave of voter enthusiasm to a virtual tie with Hillary Clinton, long considered her party’s front-runner.
Questions remain about Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been investigating whether any classified information was mishandled. “Our empirical evidence and anecdotal information shows that one candidate didn’t win them all, and that coin flips are not that frequent”. And how do they fix that when they’re down to two candidates and the other one is a candidate who is basically not as acceptable to the Democratic establishment?
JUDY WOODRUFF: Let’s turn to the Republicans. Yet Cruz and Rubio – both senators – buried the billionaire businessman among voters who say they prefer political experience: 39 percent for Rubio, 35 percent for Cruz, 3 percent for Trump.

Cruz finished with 28 percent of the vote, Trump with 24 percent and Rubio with 23 percent.
SUSAN PAGE: Yes, that’s right.
Cruz’s win provided a twist worthy of the topsy-turvy race.
“The headline is ‘Winner of the night – Marco Rubio!”. Chris Christie said he’s like the boy in the plastic bubble?
Recent polling predicts their odds will change in New Hampshire. A record number of residents of the USA state of Iowa gathered Monday night to start the selection of the Republican and Democratic presidential nominees.CCTV America’s Nathan King reports.
Both candidates have a week to make these final arguments to New Hampshire voters.
In 2008, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee won the caucuses on the strength of the evangelical vote (Cruz did it the same way), but the GOP nomination went to Sen.
