Home Depot to hire more than 80000 workers for busy spring
That includes job from sales and cashiers to operations and online order fulfillment, officials said in a news release.
This year’s hiring spree, however, comes at a time when Colorado’s unemployment has dropped to historically low levels.
The time Home Depot employees accrue during their seasonal assignments applies to eligibility for benefits if they transition to a permanent position, the company says.
Home Depot has announced it is hiring 900 workers in the Hartford area and 80,000 workers nationwide.
Applications should be submitted online at Home Depot’s careers site, www.careers.homedepot.com, the company said.
In the Chicago area, Home Depot expects to hire about 3,000 workers across its 66 stores. Last year, about half the seasonal hires stayed on as permanent workers. The local hiring forecast is in line with what the company has done the past few years.
The company is scheduled to report its fourth-quarter financial earnings on February 23.
