Minutes after Team Rice’s 30-minute practice session ahead of Sunday’s Pro Bowl, Rice came jogging across the field to seek out the Miami second-year wide receiver for one eager Dolphins fan. He has been one of the stand out quarterback of the past season, and in his final seven games of the regular season he piled on 24 touchdown passes, while giving up just one interception. A two-point conversion pass failed, but the score was set up by a 61-yard pass from Wilson to Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins on Team Irvin’s first play from scrimmage.
Team Irvin quarterback Russell Wilson threw three touchdown passes, and Teddy Bridgewater and Jameis Winston each threw two scoring passes, much to the delight of captain and vocal supporter Michael Irvin. His first was a 2-yard pass to Philadelphia running back Darren Sproles late in the second quarter. Then on the next play, Wilson completed a back of the end two-point conversion pass to Jones.

Two other Seahawks players mixed it up midway through the third quarter when Team Irvin’s Richard Sherman – a cornerback – was dropped for a 22-yard loss on a reverse by Team Rice linebacker Bobby Wagner. Team Irvin led 49-21 at that point.
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones was selected with the third to Team Irvin, and Oakland Raiders defensive end Khalil Mack was opted by Team Rice with the fourth pick.
The game was the last in the Hall of Fame career of Raiders defensive back Charles Woodson, who announced his retirement on December 21 after 18 seasons. QBs Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Cam Newton, Carson Palmer and Aaron Rodgers all elected to skip the Pro Bowl.
