Arkham Knight Cancelled for Mac and Linux
Along with special treats revealed for “Batman: Arkham Knight”, it is revealed that the game’s DLC release date will be in March this year.
Aside from an indirect revelation of its release, “Batman: Arkham Knight” is rumored to feature a new gameplay set in an expanded Gotham City, as well as the iconic Batmobile. According to various sources, Rocksteady may have gotten most of their ideas from the fans, and a “Complete Edition” may be in the works as well. The game was ported from consoles to the PC poorly, and the publisher had to pull it from sale. There’s the “Crime Fighter Challenge Pack” and the patch update 1.13 which, sadly, wasn’t the answer to all the problems that hounded the PC version even after its re-release.
There have always been rumors of a Dark Knight video game that was meant to come out around the time of the movie. Electronic Arts might still be publishing Batman games today or at least through Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. According to slightly speculative translations, “sonder” is usually translated as “unparalleled”-hence, complete”.
But rather than putting the time into actually developing a passable PC port of one of their games, if rumors are to be believed then a potential Batman Arkham Remastered Collection will completely overlook the platform, with it instead only releasing on the PS4 and Xbox One.
Adding fuel to the fire is the Season Pass DLC for “Arkham Knight”. They took the job again of porting Arkham Knight but it looks like they couldn’t handle. After the recent debacle with the Windows version of Arkham Knight being riddled with issues and WB eventually dishing out refunds for the game, another computer release of the action-adventure title seemed unlikely.
