Trump says skipping debate might have cost him in Iowa
As always, his speech featured bits usually unique to Trump rallies.
“Fantastic results”, Trump observed. The Granite’s States first-in-the-nation primary will be held next Tuesday, February 9.
Prior to Tuesday, Brown has appeared alongside Trump during New Hampshire campaign events.
“You gotta get out and vote”, he said.
And, ten minutes later, “I don’t believe I have been given any credit by the voters for self-funding my campaign, the only one”.
“And these people I’m negotiating with all the time, these people on the stage with me, they say, ‘You should disavow what Putin of Russian Federation said'”.
The article, “Absent Trump a present to foes” (Jan. 29), points out a poignant statement from former Sen.
During the interview, Trump spoke of Kelly’s behavior towards him at the debate and told the world that, “you could see that there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her whatever”. “Great honor”, Trump tweeted. “Don’t act childish, Donald Trump”. “But I have had very good relationships with pretty much everybody”.
The network’s coverage of the Republican and Democratic caucuses in Iowa – anchored by Megyn Kelly and Bret Baier – peaked at more than 5 million viewers and averaged 3.4 million viewers for the night (from 8 p.m.-2 a.m. EST). And Trump should get the credit, in any case, because it was his presence in the race that drew a record-breaking turnout.
“I said, ‘I’m not disavowing that he called me a genius, ‘” Trump said.
One small request: If TV news stations are going to continue broadcasting Sarah Palin’s endorsements of anything or anyone, could we please have an interpreter?
This led to more back-and-forth between Fox News and Trump, which continued until moments before the debate. The candidate said Tuesday that he would make the same decision again, saying he “would never, ever give that up to go between first and second in Iowa”.
Indeed, Trump’s hyperbolic campaign – one that he has waged on social media – has served him well. But so did Rubio, who continues to stand out as the party go-to for the moderate GOP voters (and party elites) who made former Gov. Mitt Romney, Sen. On the night of the Iowa Caucus, an MSNBC newscaster pointed out that Trump had won eight straight polls.
“I guess what did happen is one poll came out that said I’m four or five points ahead and that maybe built up a false expectation for some people”, Trump told reporters. “I want to win Iowa”.
