Jerry Rice talks with the rings of truth at Super Bowl events

Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice went undercover recently posing as a Lyft driver to see if unsuspecting riders in the Bay Area would recognize him.

With such easy money out there for the taking, it’s no wonder Jerry Rice is out there giving rides.

In case you’ve somehow forgotten, Rice won three Super Bowls with the 49ers and is NFL’s all-time leading receiver in receptions, yards and touchdowns. My whole family has been Niners families.

None of the riders recognized the driver, who introduced himself simply as “J”.

Jerry Rice was busy making the rounds Wednesday on radio row at the Super Bowl 50 media center across from Moscone Center.

At least two riders tell Rice that they are huge 49ers fans but don’t connect that their driver is arguably the most famous 49er player of all time. “I loved it but I was not able to take it to the next level”. Well these folks that got into the auto with him had really no clue who they were sitting by.
