Tesla Bans ‘Rude’ Customer From Buying Car
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed that the Tesla Powerwall 2 will be released this year, we can expect to find out more details about the device in July or August.
Elon Musk has responded to “Banned by Tesla”, a Medium post by Stewart Alsop that laid out how Alsop didn’t get a Tesla because in Musk’s view, he was basically, “super rude”. The investor had also put down a $5,000 deposit. Even so, you’d hardly think that now would be the time to cause an unnecessary uproar by barring a customer who still very much wants, and is willing to pay for, your product.
The Tesla Powerwall home batteries launched a year ago andproved to be so popular that the manufacturing company hardly has any left.
The move prompted The Guardian to say that despite Musk’s wealth bringing him the ability to fund private space ventures, electric-car companies and develop futuristic transportation methods such as the Hyperloop, the best perk of his money is “the ability to be unbelievably petty”. Mr. Musk, however, is not concerned about the low sales for Model X, citing quality as the company’s top priority.
Tesla buyers, be careful what you write about the company – if you’re deemed “rude”, you just might get banned from buying a Tesla vehicle.
In the letter, Alsop complained about the overcrowding, the lack of food, and the fact that the event started two hours later than scheduled.
The news of a new version of the Tesla Powerwall came in the form of a video posted February 1 showing CEO Elon Musk answering questions from Tesla vehicle owners at a private event in Paris, France on January 29. “I heard from our phone conversation that you feel that my post, “Dear @ElonMusk: You should be ashamed of yourself”, was a personal attack on you”, he wrote.
This transaction comes before Tesla reports on its fourth-quarter earnings next week and unveils its new model sometime in March. “Indeed, I’m likely to just keep driving my irritating BMW X1”.
Tesla Motors’ (NASDAQ:TSLA) battery storage division showcased the Powerwall for residential objective in May, 2015.
But rather than receiving an apology from Musk, Alsop was taken aback to learn that Musk instead had cancelled Alsop’s pre-order altogether.
