Ronda Rousey to make a November comeback?
UFC president Dana White let it be known that the company is keeping Holly Holm happy. He added, in a separate interview, that a Rousey/Holm rematch could be the biggest fight in UFC history, but we won’t know until the results of Holm/Tate fight are in.
Ever since her defeat, Rousey has taken some time off from her MMA career. During an appearance on “The Neighborhood” radio show, White said Rousey will face the victor of a March 5 championship bout between defending titleholder Holly Holm and Miesha Tate.
The daughter of boxing legend Muhammad Ali has criticised Ronda Rousey’s fighting style and claimed she believed her own hype in the lead-up to her loss against Holly Holm. Roach, who is now training Manny Pacquiao for his upcoming third fight with Timothy Bradley, went so far as to suggest that Rousey should “stay away” from Holm. She will try to wrestle Holly Holm.
Although Ronda Rousey has remained relatively silent about when she will return to the Octagon, the speculation continues regarding exactly when we’ll see the “Rowdy” one back in the UFC.
It was Holm’s boxing that eventually led to the shocking knockout of Rousey back in November. She only got taken down once, and she got out of that real quickly. “She came straight in and she got busted in the face so many times where she had a bloody nose”. When asked about Rousey’s mental state, more than two months since the loss, White said the former champion is doing well. The Olympic bronze medalist had finished all of her fights, with only one going past the 1st round.
Rousey is set to star in the film remake “Roadhouse” and “Mile 22” before refocusing her attention on the UFC, as per Fox Sports.
