Three LeT terrorists gunned down in J&K’s Bandipora
As the searches were underway, the militant hiding in a residential opened fire at them with automatic weapons triggering a gunbattle, which left three militants dead while a residential house has also been damaged severely.
Earlier, a gunfight broke out between government forces and militants this morning in North Kashmir’s Hajin area in Bandipora district.
As per the information, two militants are believed to be hiding in the area. The forces received a tip off about the presence of militants in Khos Mohalla and cordoned the entire area.
Badamibagh based Army spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel NN Joshi said that they have not recovered the body of any militant. He added that there has been active movement of foreign terrorists in Bandipora district since the last three months.
After the killing of the three LeT terrorists, the security forces have launched an intensive search operation and the time of filing of the report, the combing operation in the area was on.
An unidentified militant was killed on January 26, 2016 in a gunbattle with security forces in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Sources said that the arrested terrorists had been planning to target politicians in the state.
