Bodies of 6 people found inside home on Chicago’s South Side
Six people – including a woman and a child – were found dead inside a Chicago home on Thursday, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Escalante declined to say how the people died, what weapons, if any, were found in the house or how long ago they may have been killed. One of the residents failed to show up for work two days in a row, so a co-worker called 911, according Escalante.
Responding officers viewed what they believed to be a body on the floor inside the home around 1:30 p.m., Escalante said.
They have not determined the cause of death. She said the family had lived in their home for about a decade and were originally from the Mexican state of Guanajuato.
Martinez says the father worked at a Chicago factory and his wife stayed at home.

“This is going to take some time because we want to be thorough and careful to collect as much evidence as we can”, Escalante said.
Despite the macabre discovery, Escalante says police don’t believe neighbors should be anxious.
“Everything was closed up tight”, Williams, who has lived directly next door for three years, said.
“His favorite sport was soccer”, Aaron Villazana said of his friend, and Emmanuel Hernandez chimed in: “He’d get out of school and play soccer….”
“It’s just one of those things I can’t explain”.
Chicago police investigators prepare to enter a home where the bodies were found after police performed a well being check Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, in Chicago.
