Trump accuses Cruz of ‘stealing’ Iowa with fraudulent tactics in Twitter rant
“Here you go out and you pull a trigger, and you come back”.
This was all very confusing for many Latino liberals, who refuse to acknowledge Cruz’s victory as a legitimate breakthrough because they don’t consider Cruz to be a legitimate Hispanic.
Cruz then added, “Yet another #Trumpertantrum…” Trump swayed only 14 percent of caucus-goers who decided late in the process, according to Fox.
Trump’s statement that fraudulent misrepresentation by Cruz campaign was the reason “why all of the polls were so wrong and why he got far more votes than anticipated” was in reference to the fact that a key poll ahead of Monday’s voting had placed Trump five percentage points ahead of Cruz who ended up winning by 4 percentage points. He shunned the last primary debate before the Iowa caucuses but relished the drama triggered by his snub of the top USA news network and taunted his rivals at the competing fundraising event schemed to chide them.
Trump also slammed Cruz for sending out deceitful mailers and suggesting in a release that retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson was quitting the race.
Trump claims Cruz made up the diffidence and finished with a four point lead by spreading lies about Trump’s stance on Obamacare and purposefully spreading misinformation that Ben Carson dropped out of the presidential race. But Clinton has deep ties throughout the party’s establishment and a strong following among a more diverse electorate that will play a larger role in primary contests beyond New Hampshire, where Sanders is favored.
Bush, meanwhile, told supporters at a campaign stop in Hanover that the next president “needs to be a lot quieter, but send a signal that we’re prepared to act in the national security interest of this country – to get back in the business of creating a more peaceful world”. Cruz later apologized for the email.
Carson harshly criticized Cruz campaign for spreading misleading information. “Evaluate people on what they do, how they treat other people”.
But Wednesday, Cruz defended his team’s actions, saying he would not throw staff under the bus and questioned whether “passing on a true and accurate news story” was a dirty trick.
“For Clinton, it was clearly a case of surviving and advancing”, said Dante Scala, associate professor of political science at the University of New Hampshire, which hosts the next Democratic debate on Thursday.
“It is no surprise that Donald is throwing yet another temper tantrum or if you like, another Trumpertantrum”, Cruz said said in New Hampshire, which will hold its primary on Tuesday.
Shortly after Cruz’s comments, CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin defended the network on air. After his strong showing in Iowa, Rubio is likely to receive even more financial support from Wall Street and his campaign will probably take off with full speed. That accurate report was disseminated on television and CNN digital. Forgive me, but I’m going to call out BS if I hear BS.
“I think whoever is responsible for blatant lying should be dismissed, absolutely”.
Carson said he bases his decision on whether or not to stay in the presidential race based on the the size and strength of his campaign, crowds, donations, and social media. “Now, if (Cruz) agrees with it, he doesn’t need to make changes….” He’s having a “Trumper-tantrum”, Cruz told reporters.
So what does this mean for the candidates going forward?
