Donald Trump calls for Iowa election do-over
Donald Trump’s bid to become US President is in crisis after he was crushed by bitter rival Ted Cruz in the first major contest of the race to the White House.
Trump completed his Twitter comments Wednesday saying that Cruz’s results should be disqualified or a new election/caucus should be held in Iowa.
Trump and the Carson camp both complained that Cruz campaign workers alerted voters to Carson’s decision to go home for a break after the caucuses, stoking speculation he would drop out. According to the entrance-poll data, he scored most on points like being from outside the political establishment, a strong characteristic to have in an intensely anti-Washington year. “Most will go to Cruz, I hope”. Marco Rubio. The poll found that nationally, Trump’s support has fallen to 25 percent, while Cruz and Rubio are tied with 21 percent each. Early Tuesday morning, the Iowa Democratic party called the “historically close” race for Clinton, who received 49.9 percent of the vote to Sanders’ 49.6 percent.
Donald Trump, the NY businessman seeking the Republican US presidential nomination, said on Tuesday he felt “a tinge” of disappointment after losing to Texas Senator Ted Cruz in the Iowa caucuses.
Among the 36 percent of Iowa caucus-goers who were contacted by someone asking them to come out to support their candidate, Cruz had a 31 percent to 23 percent advantage over Trump.
The accusations against Cruz were the latest aggressive tactic from Trump, who has courted controversy with his attacks on other candidates and by urging a ban on Muslims entering the United States and branding Mexican immigrants as criminals.
This would be done by campaigning in the state, running informational articles and promotional advertisements in media outlets that reach the Indian-Americans in New Hampshire area. “Brought in record voters and got second highest vote total in history!” it’s worth mentioning.
In the most recent Republican debate, it was Sweden’s turn to get thrown into the fray with Florida Senator Marco Rubio taking a jab at Sanders.
Cruz responded to Trump’s threats and complaints, calling the complaints a “Trumpertantrum”. “When they said Ben Carson is out of the race and come vote for him, I thought it was bad”. He’s chosen New Hampshire and it’s first-in-the-nation primary as his battleground, where he boasts about his pedigree as a former federal prosecutor who handled terrorism cases.
In a response to Breitbart, Cruz campaign spokeswoman Catherine Frazier did not deny the authenticity of the voicemails and said they “are in line with the reports that were made at that time”. He should be talking to New Hampshire voters.
