Zayn Malik: ‘I never really wanted to be in One Direction’

In an interview with The Sunday Times last weekend, Zayn revealed there should be no confusion over the single’s title, and said: “I think I’m pretty black and white about what it’s about”.

Former One Direction member, Zayn Malik, talked to Beats 1’s Zane Lowe. “I had to start thinking about myself, I was always writing anyway even when I was in the band…I always knew”.

Zayn Malik says his stomach is full of butterflies as he waits for the release of his first music as a solo artist.

“I think the boys knew that in terms of the music, it wasn’t my cup of tea”, he said.

Zayn Malik opened up about his debut solo album, Mind of Mine, as well as his creative struggle with One Direction in a new interview today (Jan. 28). When I was leaving the band, they didn’t want me to leave.

Earlier this week, Zayn showed off this sexy shirtless picture to announce the release date of his first single.

It looks like Ryan, 39, is just as gutted as us about the no-show, Tweeting yesterday: ‘Zayn isn’t on the Graham Norton show with me anymore.

“At that point I had already made my mind up, so I just left”.

The interview was reportedly due to record in London on Thursday evening but Malik scrapped his chat to continue work on his album, which is due for release later this year.

Zayn opened up more about leaving the band, saying that his heart was never totally in it in the first place.

The trippy video has some NSFW aspects and has some One Direction fans scratching their heads as to just what Malik was getting at in the erotic and definitely not-safe-for-his-younger-1D-fans video. The album will have 17 or 18 songs on it. Well, the Bradford boy surely sounds awesome in his new sound and we are excited to watch what he has in store for us.
