Ted Cruz’s Shady Tactics as Iowans Lined Up to Vote
In case you missed it yesterday, one of the worst presidents in history, Jimmy Carter, heaped a whole bunch of praise on GOP frontrunner Donald Trump. Why?
A new ad released Thursday quotes Carter, who said Wednesday that if he had to pick between the two, he “would choose Trump” over Cruz.
In his response, he explained that Cruz has far right-wing policies that he would pursue if he makes it to the White House. It lasted until Trump rained on his parade and accused Ted Cruz of voter’s fraud.
The Cruz campaign quickly seized on the remarks and crafted it into a web ad. He goes out and says ‘Donald Trump loves Obamacare. And he explained why, Carter said because Trump is malleable.
After he was leading the Iowa polls for weeks, Trump came in as runner up to Cruz.
But the mogul, who is predicted a win in the upcoming New Hampshire Primary despite falling into second place in Iowa, didn’t take issue with Cruz calling out his criticisms.
Some Cruz allies shared that news widely on the night of the caucuses, including to Carson supporters, but did not include the part about Carson remaining in the race.
Since this was brought to light, some big name Republicans have piled on Cruz suggesting that Trump would have actually won.
