Woman who killed alleged serial killer recounts final fight
When investigators responded, they found a cache of weapons inside Falls’ SUV including knives, a machete, axes, a sledgehammer, shovel, plastic trash bags, bleach, and a bulletproof vest.

The woman, whose identity hasn’t been released, told investigators Falls drew a gun and tried to strangle her. She said she grabbed Falls’ gun when he set it down to overpower her and shot him.
Now, police are investigating whether he could be connected to the murder or disappearance of nine women across three states: Ohio, Illinois, and Nevada.
Detectives across the country are re-examining cold cases after a possible serial killer was shot to death while allegedly attacking a West Virginia woman, CBS News reports.
Authorities say Falls lived in Nevada at the time three of the prostitutes’ dismembered bodies were found along highways. Investigators are coordinating with Charleston police to find a link.
After answering the door Falls grabbed the victim by the throat, dragged her around the house and told her he would kill her.
It’s unclear how many missing women across the nation have similar pasts, but according to USA TODAY, as many as one-third of repeat killers have included prostitutes among their prey.
“He was going to kill me”, Heather said.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is now searching Falls’s past for clues that the former security guard from Oregon with no notable criminal record may have harmed other women.
“When he strangled me, he just wouldn’t let me get any air and so I grabbed my rake and when he laid the gun down to get the rake out of my hands, I shot him”. “I believe she saved lives by shooting Mr. Falls, based on what he did to her and based on the items found in her auto”.
Last week, Neal Falls was killed in an apparent case of self-defense by a sex worker he was trying to murder in Charleston, West Virginia.
According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System database, there are at least 306 women who were reported missing in 2014 and this year who remain unaccounted for.
“What comes to mind when you look at those items is a serial killer kit”, said Lt. Steve Cooper, who was the Charleston police detective who responded to the scene. The other 10 women on his list were also reportedly on Backpage.com. She has a tattoo of dolphins making a heart on her lower back.
Authorities have determined the shooting was an act of self-defence – known in the US as justifiable homicide. She was taken to hospital with a range of injuries including broken vertebrae.
“I fought men my whole life”, she told the Gazette-Mail newspaper.
