Ohio State recruiting: Buckeyes land five-star JUCO OT Malcolm Pridgeon
Fuller is considered a major recruiting win for Meyer, especially because MI was heavily involved.
WATCH – New Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano talks about the incoming Buckeye recruiting class.
That’s a Catch-22 that the Buckeyes won’t have to even worry about this season.
“Our staff went out and grinded”.
Athlete Demario McCall from North Ridgeville, OH played in the Army All-American game and could emerge as the best offensive weapon in this class.
Although Meyer said all coaches gush on signing day, he wanted it understood his feelings were genuine.
“I’m just excited to be part of a program that’s been storied and so successful in history”. “As long as you’re keeping score, we like to do the best we can”.
“I felt the most comfortable there”, Fuller said. “You have to continue to take some positives out of it, but the same time we would obviously much rather win these games”.
In contrast, Alabama lost only two players with eligibility remaining: running back Derrick Henry, who is fresh off a Heisman-winning campaign, and A’Shawn Robinson, a 320-pound defensive lineman who gives new meaning to the word “imposing”. With the 2016 class in the books, Meyer as officially sealed up his fourth top five recruiting class in his five years as the Buckeye head man. The cherry on top of all of it was the signing of the nation’s No. 1 recruit, DT Rashan Gary.
The opportunity for recruits to play early could be more likely next season than it is most years. He’s the younger brother of All-American Joey Bosa, who’s leaving OSU early for the NFL. OSU’s Ice Rink is smaller than the common dimensions of college hockey rinks, such as LaBahn, and Johnson said it will take the team a little bit to adjust to the different style. “But that’s a standing offer for the Bosa family if they decide to have more children along their journey, they have a scholarship offer”, he said.
After all the letters, phone calls, visits and media requests, Fuller can spend a few months before graduation as just a regular guy on campus.
QB Dwayne Haskins from Maryland is the lone signal caller in this year’s class and a 4-star rated player.
Late addition: Malcolm Pridgeon, OL, Nassau County (N.Y.) Community College.
“We don’t recruit a junior college guy to sit”, Meyer said. “We hope to get him in here in June and have him compete for a starting spot”. For the second straight season, Texas will land the Big 12’s top-rated recruiting class, including one of the two five-star players in the Big 12’s Class of 2016.
“I’m really grateful to be in this position”.
