Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe Teased at the Race Track
Not many carmakers are willing to show their upcoming models wearing kaleidoscopic and eye-confusing camouflage, but Mercedes-AMG are the exception that confirms the rule.
In addition to the styling changes that you can see from the photos, the C63 Coupe will also receive 255/35 ZR19 front tires, a retuned suspension, lowered center of gravity, passengers will sit almost an inch lower in the cabin to increase the coupe’s feel for sportiness and last but not least, revised steering.
We expect the Mercedes-AMG C63 coupe to be priced similar to the sedan.
Like a particularly mean parent in the weeks before Christmas, Mercedes is being quite the tease with its new C63 AMG coupe. Although the camo foil is doing its job very well, the car’s aggressive shape is impossible to miss. Oh, and don’t forget about the quad exhaust.
These shots, released on Daimler’s social-media channels today, reveal further details: The hood has a unique contour with “power domes”, there is a large rear spoiler, and the front air intake mirrors that of the C63 sedan.
Our hunch is that the coupe will use the same twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine as the saloon – with 470 and 503bhp “S” tunes – and possess the usual, electronically limited 155mph top speed.
