10-year-old raped at Vienna pool by Iraqi migrant

They managed to apprehend the attacker in the pool, who, to their amazement, instead of fleeing the crime scene, was having fun by jumping from a three-meter board, Die Heute reported.

An Iraqi migrant in Vienna has admitted to the brutal rape of a10-year-old boy in a swimming pool cubicle.

The rape took place on December 2 but details were kept secret to protect the boy.

A lifeguard who spotted the boy in tears called an ambulance to take him to hospital.

Police arrested the man at the pool. When questioned by the police, the offender admitted to experiencing a “sexual emergency” after lacking sexual intercourse since arriving to the country.

But he said he had “followed his desires”, adding: “I haven’t had sex for four months”.

When asked whether it was illegal to have sex with ten year old boys in Iraq, the man said “Such a thing is forbidden in any country in the world”.

The man claimed to have sex with women but had not been intimate with his wife since the birth of their daughter, and she still lived in Iraq.

The Iraqi, who had arrived in Austria via the Balkans in September, had been working as a taxi driver in Vienna. But information emerged on Facebook, prompting the police to request sensitivity in matters concerning migrants, as ‘they have been through a lot’.

The Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung had also reported the incident in December without official confirmation of the details by police.

The latest shocking incident comes after reports in the Austrian media of a case involving a 13-year-old girl who was being repeatedly raped by a 26-year-old man. The man claimed he had married the underage girl in Syria under Islamic law and thus had the right to have sex with her.
