Guus Hiddink was approached to manage in Chinese Super League
Hiddink was unwilling to be drawn on the reports during his news conference on Friday, days out from his side’s meeting with Manchester United.
Hiddink also warned his Blues players to beware of French frontman Anthony Martial – one of United’s standout performers having scored six league goals and contributed three assists. However, Van Gaal’s style and approach has repeatedly come under scrutiny this season and Hiddink can see why.
Chelsea entered this weekend’s fixtures in 13th place, with Sunday’s visitors to Stamford Bridge 10 points behind Leicester in fifth on Saturday morning.
The return of Eden Hazard to the starting line-up will be a big boost for Chelsea if Hiddink decides to use the Belgian from the start, while this will also be Diego Costa’s first appearance against the Red Devils since his arrival in England.

Hiddink has overseen two wins and five draws in his unbeaten seven-match Premier League run and, with the top four seemingly out of Chelsea’s reach, he hinted the priorities are now the FA Cup and Champions League, where Manchester City and Paris St Germain, respectively, are the opposition.
“I had some possibilities to go there in the recent past” said Hiddink, who oversaw the departure of Ramires to Jinagsu Suning for £25m.
“They responded, Oscar responded after that”. Diego Costa is one bad decision away from a red card and against two physical centre halves on Sunday there is a 50/50 chance that Diego Costa doesnt last the 90 minutes and the red mist descends. “If he doesn’t score other players must take the opportunity”.
Promising performances from 19-year-old Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Matteo Darmian provided solidarity at the back while we’ve seen greater width and threat up front.
“And not taking big, big risks, because many games are coming up and we need him”.
Pedro Rodriguez will be handed a late fitness test after missing the trip to Vicarage Road with a minor knock but Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao are both still out through injury.
