Disturbing: Son lies on fathers head to prove strength, kills 74yr old
According to court documents 44-year-old Kyle Webb told investigators he and his father, Franklin Webb, had gotten into an argument over a leaking pipe at their residence in the 7800 block of 129th Terrace in Grandview on Saturday night.
He waited roughly three minutes before calling police after his father lost consciousness, the police report states.
It was not clear Sunday whether Kyle Webb had an attorney.
His father’s criticisms over his cleaning technique sent the younger Webb over the edge and, grabbing an empty vodka bottle, the son bolted up the stairs from the basement, the ultimately tragic father/son brawl unfolding from there.
Police say that he then put his dad’s arm across his throat and laid on top of his head, that was face down on the floor.
After his father died, Webb told the police that he wanted to take responsibility for what happened, saying several times, ‘It’s on me.’.
He added that he sat on his head for up to 12 minutes to show that he could control his father.
The elderly man was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
According to Kyle, he didn’t mean to kill his father but just to force him to pass out. His bail has been set at $100,000.
