Super Bowl: Five reasons the Carolina Panthers will win big
The real battle will go down around 6:30 p.m. EST when the Panthers take on the Broncos at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.in Super Bowl 50 Sunday.
What’s silly is the way these storylines grow and grow until they outweigh the stats.

That pick is Peyton Manning and the Broncos. They belong to Len Dawson. Harper didn’t return to the game, and the Panthers beat Arizona 49-15 to advance to the second Super Bowl in franchise history, but sounds ready to go Sunday.
“I’ll be watching. I’ve watched all the playoff games and I’ll definitely be watching Super Bowl”.
Peyton won’t be able to stop himself from trying for that ideal rhythm, either. “Ted Ginn, who was a bust for so many people”.
Tory said Friday he’s got a “sentimental bet” on the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning.
Carolina’s defense totaled 44 sacks during the regular season and has run up eight more in the postseason, with five of them coming against Russell Wilson in the divisional round.
The question that has percolated in the build-up to this game concerns whether Manning, who is 1-2 in Super Bowl appearances, will walk away from his playing career when this clock hits 0:00.
Peyton Manning wanted to make one thing perfectly clear when he arrived in the Golden Gate City for the golden anniversary of the Super Bowl: “Our defense is what got us here”. The NFL isn’t about who should win.
However, Denver is pummeling Carolina in the studio, leading up to the big game. Defense. Kicking. Turnovers. Coaching. The problem for Denver is the Panthers have a defense that is nearly as good, and they hold a much more decisive advantage when comparing the offenses. So the Broncos’ relentless pursuit of the quarterback may not be as fruitful as it was against New England’s Tom Brady in the AFC Championship game.
Not too anxious about Cam, though.
The Panthers lost their best receiver in the summer to a season-ending knee injury. (He completed just 59.8% of his passes this season.) And his power, speed and strength as a runner make him one of the NFL’s premier red-zone threats. The league lead, shared by Adrian Peterson and four others, was 11.
The Panthers, who were founded in 1995, have played in one Super Bowl, narrowly losing to the Patriots, 32-29, in a game perhaps best remembered for Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction” in the halftime show.

In a matchup that also features Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and the Broncos’ top-ranked defense, the outcome could rest on Denver’s ability to control the clock with its running game and keep Newton on the sideline.
