Guardiola to join Manchester City

The Ivorian midfielder has worked with Pep Guardiola previously at Barcelona, and after the announcement of the Spaniard’s arrival next season, his agent has said that he may decide to leave Manchester City.

“With City, Manuel is the manager, we are with each other and that’s how it is going to stay”.

“He has been a top manager for us and his man-management has been something I have personally enjoyed so we will look to give him the best send-off he deserves”. Pellegrini though would always think of the team first and be out to protect his players, plus he wouldn’t pick up needless fights against nearly anyone who is involved in the English game.

The current Barca boss predicts a fantastic journey ahead for the Premier League outfit with Guardiola at the helm.

But the idea of the club allowing their hottest young prospect to depart is highly unlikely.

“We are living a very good season”.

“It will be hard with each game as it goes along, but that is what I am focused on”. We played on Wednesday, the [Capital One Cup] semi-final against Everton, after that the FA Cup against Aston Villa on Saturday and now on Tuesday with a lot of players injured, so the same names have played all the games. “We are all thinking about this season rather than the next”.

Guardiola, who turned 45 on January 18, won 14 titles with Barcelona in a four-year coaching spell, including the Champions League in 2009 and 2011.

Asked how he would cope with that, he told reporters at a news conference: “I am like a woman, I can do two things at once”.

Guardiola revealed that he had begun talks with City nearly a year ago, yet refused to say more. It’s not a problem, I have a big talent for this. It will be interesting to see how Manchester City reacts if Pep Guardiola likewise does not bring them the same dominance he has enjoyed with Barcelona and Bayern.

“I don’t think they regretted it because he became Barca’s most successful manager”.

“Us managers get no respect whatsoever in the world”, Guardiola added.

“We extended the contract one year more but with the clause that one of the club or me may not use that extended contract”.
