David Bowie’s widow Iman expresses ‘gratitude’ to fans
He was 69 years old and had been battling cancer for 18 months.
Moreover, merely a day prior to her husband’s death, Iman shared a quote by French author Georges Duhamel stating, “Sometimes you will never know the value of something, until it becomes a memory”.
On Saturday, Feb. 6, Iman contributed along with fans by posting a message that read, “Love and Gratitude – Iman” on Instagram.
She continued with a post Sunday that was a message of encouragement about prayer: “Pray hardest when it is hardest to pray”.
Bowie’s death on January 10th from cancer triggered a massive outpouring of remembrance that’s still going on weeks later, with millions of fans and music industry figures paying tribute to their idol.
Iman, 60, seems to feel comfortable communicating via Instagram as she recovers from Bowie’s death.
The couple were married in 1992, two years after they met and the couple have a daughter called Lexi, who is now 15. Together, they had one daughter, Alexandria Zahra Jones, born in 2000.

“Love and Gratitude”, Iman shared with the world after David Bowie’s passing. The album topped the charts in both the United Kingdom and US.
