Meek Mill: Drake’s diss track is ‘baby lotion soft’
As previously reported, Drake responded by dissing Mill in a song released yesterday titled “Charged Up“. Just after that, Minaj beau Meek Mill accused Drake of using a ghostwriter and forced our Micah Singleton into a spiralling existential crisis.
Other rap heavyweights waded in on the argument, including producer Noah “40” Shebib, who defended Drake saying he had firsthand experience of watching the rapper create his own music.
WARNNIG: The song contains coarse language. Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend fired on Twitter the following posts: “Baby lotion soft” and “I can tell he wrote that 1 tho”.
Nicki Minaj brought out Lil Wayne, her Young Money labelmate, last night (July 27) during her “Pinkprint” show in Brooklyn.
Mill later named Quentin Miller as the man behind Drake’s rhymes after noting the industry newcomer is credited as a writer on a slew of tracks on Drake’s latest album, “If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late”. “All y’all stare at my face, and hope that you can be the replacement”.
“I was doing my album”. In a new Tumblr post, however, Miller denies claims he ghostwrote lyrics for Drake.
HollywoodLifers, tell us: What do you think of Meek and Nicki’s new video?
Drake responded to the attack by simply stating on social media, “I signed up for greatness”.
“There’s countless number ones and songs drake has written for others never mind himself”, the producer added.
“Charged Up” mostly consists of Drake freestyling over a subdued beat, with its chorus consisting of him yelling, “I’m charged up!” This is referring to Drake’s verse on Meek’s album for R.I.C.O., not to mention you can see him pictured above repping a Free Meek Mill shirt on tour when Meek was locked up.
Could this be the end of the Meek vs. Drake feud-or is it just the beginning?
