Panthers too good, versatile for Broncos No. 1 defence

If this was the final game of his magnificent career, what a Super way to go out for Peyton Manning. “I have a one-year-old daughter and I’m getting back to her and my wife and we’re going to watch it there, so I’m out of here tonight”, he said. Even if Carolina gets off to a quick start, don’t count Denver out.

Carolina’s potent offense that led the league with 500 points was held to its fewest points of the year, and Denver set an ignominious mark with 194 yards gained, the fewest for a Super Bowl victor. Which ONE player from the Carolina Panthers OR the Denver Broncos would you like to see on Philadelphia’s roster?

The Broncos made four-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady look average at best during a 60-minute beating in the AFC Championship Game. “I think they’re fighters”. If you’re betting on the game straight up, then take Denver to outright pull off the upset.

This is uncharted territory for Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, but can the more experienced Denver Broncos use that to their advantage?

The Panthers can beat you in so many ways, the Broncos just don’t have enough playmakers to handle the Panthers.

Harris must be overlooking the fact that the Broncos were favored in 12 of their 16 regular-season games and one of their two playoff games when he says his team has been “underdogs all year”, but we’ll let it slide. Many Carolina Panthers fans spent their Saturday making sure they have everything they need to be decked out in black and blue for the big game. As long as Peyton Manning doesn’t turn the ball over, the Broncos will win.

The Panthers were able to score on two of the better defenses in the league and so was their defense against two good offenses. Being effective on special teams is often overlooked, but in a game where both teams play so well defensively, it could come down to the critical plays from the special teams. Denver has some dude named Evan Mathis who is good at blocking, I think. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m.
