Daniel Bryan announcing retirement on WWE RAW
In an update, Bryan was spotted at an airport today, flying from Phoenix to Seattle.
This weekend, new rumblings came up that Bryan would be appearing on Monday Night Raw this week.
Fans have been clamoring for a Daniel Bryan return, and it looks like that is what is in-store for tonight’s edition of WWE RAW. He is now not booked for SmackDown. The appearance in Washington is not surprising, as it is Bryan’s home state. Bryan’s been trying to get cleared to return to action for months, even as WWE seemed ready to prep him for non-wrestling roles.
As speculation continues regarding Daniel Bryan’s future in WWE, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com recently revealed on the Wrestling Classics forum that Bryan “did give notice [to WWE] and was told he did not have the right to give notice”. As has been reported extensively since his last injury, he has been cleared by specialists in regard to his concussion but had not been cleared by WWE doctors as of the last report. Charlotte has Ric Flair at her side, so it would make sense for Brie to bring in Bryan to be in her corner.
After suffering an undisclosed injury in April 2015, Bryan was forced to once again step away from the ring in order to tend to his injury.
“One neurologist who specializes in concussions – who was the neurologist for the Super Bowl a year ago – cleared me with no limitations”. But there are reports that Bryan will be involved in the Road to WrestleMania in a non-wrestling role.
