Know yourself: Drake says he’s not playing at the Grammys 2016
The 1989 singer will perform at the 58th Grammy Awards, the Recording Industry Association of America announced Sunday on Twitter.
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from the Los Angeles Staple Centre on Fox 8 at 12pm (AEDT) on February 16. Drake and Kendrick face off in the Best Rap Album category, with Drake’s If You’re Reading This it’s Too Late heading up against Butterfly, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, The Pinkprint and Compton.
(Radio.com) Rihanna will be among those performing at the 2016 GRAMMY Awards on February 15.
According to the website for the Grammy Awards, the artists confirmed to perform include Kendrick Lamar, Adele, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, and more.
Drake has had to correct the Grammys on social media after a commercial for the 2016 awards show aired during the Super Bowl listing him as one of the performers.
She’s rumoured to be opening the show, and among her seven nominations are album of the Year, best pop vocal album (for 1989), song of the year and record of the year for Blank Space. In other Grammy Awards-related news, Drake has denied that he’d been enlisted as a performer.
During the game, CBS aired a Grammy promo touting all of the big-name acts that are slated to appear on music’s biggest night including Drizzy.
