Beyoncé Gets Response From Red Lobster Over “Formation” Music Video
Maybe Red Lobster should take inspiration from Southwest Airlines whose social media team were on point immediately after Beyonce’s song.
Last month, Queen Bey starred in the music video for Coldplay’s single ‘Hymn for the Weekend’.
Red Lobster, however, didn’t chime in about the restaurant chain’s racy shout-out in “Formation” until about eight hours later – and Twitter users were not impressed with the tweet that was finally posted. Blue Ivy, Beyonce’s little princess, was featured in this video, making it more entertaining to watch. Happy father’s day? Also maybe she should sell a dad hat that has red claws coming out the sides in an homage to taking her man to Red Lobster.
Be warned of NSFW language, but the line that started it all was, “When he f- me good, I take him to Red Lobster”.
Red Lobster have since tried to defend their lame tweet, first posting: ‘You try to bake Cheddar Bay Biscuits and tweet at the same time!
According to Entertainment Weekly, other celebrities have varied reactions on the song, too.
Many called out Red Lobster’s super late and uncreative response with hilarious photos and gifs.
