‘The Bachelor’ RECAP: Olivia Stirs Up Drama During Mexico Trip
“They really need to watch #HowToBeSingle in Feb to get some tips…seriously…” The chefs named Lauren B. and Jubilee as the winners of the challenge. The owners say their dish should be served in the restaurant. Reality Steve claimed that she was upset that she is the only one who has yet to spend some alone time with Higgins. As Ben and Olivia sidebar, the women all argue over the procedure for revocation of a rose. “Looks like dogfood,”the owners tell each other in Spanish”.
Jubilee insisted she wasn’t pulling away from Ben, but it was too little, too late.
His time with Jubilee started off on a bad note after he tried to grab for her hand and she rejected it. She tells him how she’s feeling overshadowed by the other girls, but to her surprise Ben confesses that he doesn’t feel that strong connection with her anymore.
Hard. Emily did not believe Olivia’s tears were real, so she told Ben. That was good for some kisses but not for the date rose, which went to Olivia, to everyone else’s horror. Crazy Olivia didn’t care though because he essentially got the week’s second one-on-one date while she shopped and cooked with Ben.
Poor Jubilee. “I’m like the most unlovable person in the world right now”, she cried.
I actually think he might be the most honest bachelor in Bachelor history. I think she’ll regret stealing this one! Ben is nice, but he doesn’t give off much of a worldly vibe, does he? Casanova responds, “I’m so glad you went through that and now you can be sitting here”. The women all hid under their covers as they had no makeup on their faces.
My guess: Nah. Olivia has to make it through at least one more rose ceremony, especially with a two-on-one date next week that involves “two enemies”. He said that they had reconnected again and he was happy that they had a great day overall.
Just as host Chris Harrison enters the room to start the ceremony, Ben asks to talk to Olivia one last time. Since Mexico City is known for its fashion, they go to store where everything is inspired by Mexican art and culture.
On Hayley, the twin sister who was dismissed from the show, leaving her twin Emily to continue on in the competition, Wilson thinks she’s probably better off being eliminated.
Watching the models, Lauren says that she couldn’t be like the models with their stone faces. Have I told you lately that I hate Ben? McDonald’s must have really thrown down some cash to get Desiree on board! Higgins ends up sending Jubilee home. Before Ben passed out the roses, he pulled Olivia aside. Ben said that they all looked better than ever, because he’s the sweetest man ever. Olivia’s ears perk up and she realizes that she’s being talked about. It’s time for her to see if it’s worth the time away from her children to invest in getting to know Ben further.
However, fans are still wondering if Ben will be keeping one of the show’s most controversial girls, Olivia Caridi. She’s urban. And it’s so different from The Bachelor mold. They take the opportunity to show him the other side of Olivia.
On the next episode of “The Bachelor” season 20, Ben Higgins will take the girls to the Bahamas.
Way to leave us hanging, ABC! There was a lot that happened this week that literally had me screaming at the television. I suspect this is not the last we’ll be seeing of Jubilee, though: ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee said last month that the next Bachelorette likely won’t be white, and this season’s other non-white Bachelor contestants are Amber and Caila, who seem unlikely to be able to carry a show.
