Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio closing in on Donald Trump after Iowa
Trump, who placed second in Iowa, on Wednesday accused Cruz, who won, of stealing the election and called for either a new set of caucuses in Iowa or the results to be nullified.
In an interview on Boston Herald Radio on Wednesday, Trump criticized the Cruz campaign for spreading a CNN report saying Ben Carson would not travel to New Hampshire and SC after the Iowa caucuses, suggesting Carson was getting out of the race.
“And finally, Cruz strongly told thousands of caucusgoers (voters) that Trump was strongly in favour of ObamaCare and “choice” – a total lie!” he said.
Trump also slammed Cruz for sending out deceitful mailers that shared voter’s caucus attendance records with their neighbors and warning voters of “VOTER VIOLATION”.
Meanwhile Ted Cruz, who came in first in Iowa, has 5 meet-and -greet events in New Hampshire today, Marco Rubio has 4, and the rest of the candidates will be crisscrossing the state as well.
The new term was coined by Cruz after the former frontrunner took to Twitter to rant about his competitor allegedly committing fraud to secure his victory in the Iowa Caucas.

During a quickly called press conference at Washington’s National Press Club, Carson used Bible verses to raise questions about Cruz’s character, in a move seemingly aimed at damaging the newly crowned Republican front-runner’s standing among evangelical voters.
He criticised the media for focusing more on Rubio’s third-place showing than his second, calling journalists “miserable people” and encouraging the crowd to boo them.
“I was expected to come in like anywhere maybe 10, 11, 12, 13”, Trump said.

Cruz added, “We’re liable to wake up one morning, and Donald, if he were president, would have nuked Denmark”.

“If somebody were to ask me about some of the issues on surveillance, I would say that, you know, I think Rand Paul’s had some good things to say about it”, he told NBC News. “I think we’ll get a lot of Sanders’ voters”.
