Sergio Ramos’ move to Manchester United is now “impossible”
After a month full of controversy, the saga is finally over – Sergio Ramos will sign a new contract with Real Madrid and therefore, will not join Manchester United this summer.
In the meeting, Perez sought to bridge differences with the Madrid captain and also told Ramos that if he makes his desire to leave public then this would worsen his relationship with the fans.
But La Marca reports that Perez has opened negotiations in a bid to salvage the relationaship and hold on to the Spanish global.
It’s reported that the Red Devils have now turned their attentions to Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi, but reports suggest that the Premier League club may not be willing to meet his buyout clause of £35 million. “It’s like he’s betrayed United”, the source said.
“I spoke to the president at lunch on Sunday and he told me that he hoped to speak with Ramos”, the new Blancos boss told reporters after Monday’s 3-0 friendly win over Inter.
The encountering between Ramos with the exceptional frat boy, whom is his professional, as well as having the Madrid pecking order, along with pub chief Florentio Perez, supposedly survived clearly into Sunday night time, but finished using the clubhouse denying to promote the game player.
When asked whether he was absolutely certain the centre-half would stay, Benitez said: “For me, 100 per cent”.
United have added quality in Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Sergio Romero this summer, but rival clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal will still fancy getting the better of Van Gaal’s men. “We need players with attitude and he has that”.
“I insist that it is clear for me and the club, Sergio will be here”.
