Rumor: No iPhone 6C?
According towards the post, the objective behind those iPhone 6c were to provide another affordable solution for persons who wished a different iPhone, but didn’t desire to spree on Apple’s next pattern, which is certainly forecast to be referred to as iPhone 6S.
Business Insider recently reported on a note to investors from analyst Timothy Acruri at Cowen and Company. These sources said Apple was working on an “iPhone 6-looking version of the iPhone 5C”, and Arcuri said he had seen evidence of the iPhone 6c in Apple’s supply chain from January through March. But now, traces of the phone have disappeared.
Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI Securities analyst well known for uncovering Apple rumors, told Value Walk Apple could release their next iPhone in new “colorways” designed to match the second Apple Watch. Analysts at Jeffries also wrote at the end of June that Apple could be creating a low-cost metal iPhone with a 4-inch screen to be released in 2016.
Like we said, the reports are conflicting. While the rumors that Apple had the iPhone 6c in the pipeline seem credible, if the device is being prepped for launch by Apple, then it seems likely that it will happen at some point in 2016 rather than this year.
“I think one of the reasons is because the iPhone 6 has sold so well, said Arcuri. If we came out with an iPhone 6C, we would essentially cannibalize a price-reduced iPhone 6, ‘” Arcuri says.
While the colorful iPhone 5c, which originally arrived back in 2013, sold relatively well it was far from an unbridled hit as most users bypassed the cheaper option to purchase the iPhone 5s. The model in question was rumored to be the iPhone 6C, and it was only a couple of weeks ago that we discussed the possibility of this handset making use of some of the iPod touch 6th generation innards.
