Bethesda really can’t produce any more Fallout 4 Pip-Boy collector’s editions
Talking to Gamespot, Bethesda‘s Pete Hines explained that the factory producing the Pip-Boys had been given a couple of extra orders, but can no longer fit any more productions runs into the schedule.
That Pip-Boy Collector’s Edition sure was pretty, and incredibly popular.
Last month it was confirmed that Fallout 4 was in the works and that Bethesda had a limited edition Pip-Boy version of the game.
That being said we expect that there will be several enterprising gamers who might see the value in this and resell their copies on eBay or Craigslist for much more, so if you missed your chance, those are probably some of your best bets. To be specific, Hines says, “The point at which it really kicked into development whenever it was when we put up the post that said, ‘Hey, we’re done with Skyrim and moving onto the next project.’ Once we were done with all of that, it was like, ‘Alright, now it’s Fallout 4 full-throttle.'”. If not, then it’s tough luck for you, as Bethesda have completely exhausted the factory making them, and so there won’t be any more going on sale.
The answer is: it wants to, but just can’t make any more Pip-Boys. “And you can also get the guys who go insane and [can say], ‘I rebuilt the spaceship from this game…” No, we did a ton of these things.
Did you manage to snag one of these Collector’s Editions, or were you just not willing or able to shell out the cash for it? “I think we did more of these things than we did for any collector’s edition we’ve ever done”. I love that they found the flawless reason to buy the Collector’s Edition of the game – not all novelty items are created equal and Bethesda hit the nail on the head with this one.
