The best Final Fantasy hits mobile before Steam (hint: It’s IX)
Back in December we heard it was coming, and now it’s indeed happened: developer-publisher Square Enix has launched its popular JRPG Final Fantasy IX on the App Store, and it’s available to download now.
This PlayStation classic is now available at a discount until February 21st, it can be purchased for 20 percent off its regular price, Final Fantasy IX is readily available for purchase and download from the App Store and Google Play Store.
For those that don’t remember the original 2000 game, Final Fantasy IX follows the story of Zidane. Coupled with unusual circumstances, the princess and her personal guard, Steiner, team up with Zidane and take off for an “incredible journey”. While the game is PS4 and Xbox One, it also sounds like we may be getting some sort of mobile version or companion app coming as well.
Square Enix announced that “Final Fantasy XV’s” forum website will be closed due to creating a new blog website for the game. Meeting unforgettable characters like Vivi and Quina along the way, they learn about themselves, the secrets of the Crystal, and a malevolent force that threatens to destroy their world. When fully mastered, these abilities can be used even without equipping items, allowing for almost endless customization options.
Mini-Games – Whether it’s Chocobo Hot and Cold, Jump Rope, or Tetra Master, there are plenty of mini-games to enjoy when you’re not off saving the world.
This new version includes high-definition character models and other new features, like the ability to turn off random encounters. You can even earn special item rewards!
This is a very interesting listing, as it appears he was at least doing some sort of work with Final Fantasy XV on the mobile front in the past, but it could have simply been a test for something that never came to fruition based on the “TEST” part. Let us know in the comments section below.
