Goldie Hawn May Play Mom Of Amy Schumer In An Upcoming Movie
The Trainwreck star and unstoppable comedy force has reportedly recruited Hawn to play her mother in an upcoming action comedy, to be directed by The Night Before’s Jonathan Levine.
“A hint: This woman is an Oscar-winning actress who has played an Oscar-winning actress”. However, the talks are still at their early stages and Hawn has yet to accept the project. Aside from her experience when it comes to comedy, Hawn also played the role of the mother of another prominent actress, Kate Hudson. The film is based on Amy’s real-life mother-daughter relationship with her mum Sandra Schumer. The team up of Hawn and Schumer is considered special since Hawn has not appeared in a big screen movie in a long time. Sally Field and Frances McDormand were other names on the list for the part, but for various reasons never stuck.
Though few details have been released about the movie’s plot, it is apparently set during a family holiday that goes horribly wrong and sees some hilarious mishaps along the way.
Believe it or not, Goldie Hawn has been off our screens since 2002, when she starred in the meh-comedy The Banger Sisters with Diane Keaton.
Katie Dippold, a former MADtv writer who wrote “The Heat ” and the new “Ghostbusters”, wrote the script for the yet-to-be-titled film.
